This set includes one (1) Rim Mini Plate (5.5" dia.) and one (1) Rim Dessert Bowl, glazed in light dusty blue glaze, Wave Gloss. These are one-of-a-kind production sample pieces which exhibit a range in color variation as the Heath glazers experimented with different firing and glazing techniques. The perfect size for ice cream and other small snacks, the Rim Dessert Bowl holds 11oz, fitting perfectly into even the tiniest of hands (2.25" H, 4.5” dia.) The Dessert Bowl was released in 1972 and has remained in continuous production for over 50 years. Heath’s Rim Line (initially named the Gourmet Line) was developed in 1961 for maximum versatility—originally conceived as a set of bakeware for serious home cooks and beloved by restaurants for their sturdy functionality. Renamed in 1972, the Rim Line features a wide, unglazed rim—a hallmark of Edith's designs—which allows them to stack and patina over time.
